What others are saying...

"I feel like you really get the quality you pay for at StM. I can tell my kids feel really safe, welcome, and loved at StM. Much of the staff has been there for multiple years, seems highly skilled, and seems to love their job. So glad we picked St. Martin's after touring at least 10 schools across New Orleans and Metairie area."

- Current Parent

"The moment you walk until St. Martin's campus, it feels like home. That's how we felt the first time we toured George Cottage for our 2 year old. Now 10 years later in middle school, he is still thriving in the small class environment, outstanding facilities, nurturing teachers, and overall fantastic opportunities."

- Current Parent

"I personally love STM, I've attended this school since I was little and I can genuinely say I wake up excited to go to school everyday. I love my teachers, my friends, my classes, and the amount of freedom I have."

Our Mission

“We prepare students to thrive in college and in life through Faith, Scholarship, and Service.”

Through a faith-rooted, academically rigorous, and service-focused environment, St. Martin’s equips students with the knowledge, character, and confidence to succeed in an ever-changing world.

One Decision. A Lifetime of Difference.

Choose St. Martin's once. Never worry about school transitions again.

Our Episcopal Tradition

St. Martin’s is the only Episcopal school in the New Orleans area that serves students 8 weeks old through 12th grade. Our Episcopal identity guides how we educate and shape children through the development of strong moral and ethical values, compassion, and empathy in every student. We believe in respecting others, speaking honestly, offering kindness, and serving the community in celebration and worship of God. We value diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in all its forms. Age-appropriate chapel from toddlers to teens.

Academic Excellence

From Reggio Emilia-inspired early learning to AP courses and college counseling. St. Martin’s is a rigorous college preparatory school that places a high emphasis on student-centered interdisciplinary learning anchored in relevant connections to the real world. Our graduates are leaders across New Orleans and beyond that have helped to shape their communities in the fields of medicine, law, business, policy, real estate, education, politics, the arts, and more. St. Martin’s graduates are critical thinkers prepared not only for college, but for careers that are not yet imagined.

A Love of Thinking and Learning

A Love of Thinking and Learning

Curiosity starts with infant exploration and grows into scholarly research. We inspire curiosity in our students, the first step to developing a love of learning. We believe in teaching students how to learn and how to think, not what to think. When they know how to think, they’re not just prepared for today’s test or tomorrow’s academic year, but prepared to grow as citizens who contribute to their broader community.

A Supportive and Diverse Community

We care about our students as people and we care about the people we help them become. Where 8-week-old infants and 18-year-old seniors are equally valued. St. Martin’s provides a welcoming atmosphere, and we have a strong, tight-knit community. We believe in welcoming children and families from all faiths, ethnicities, races, backgrounds, and perspectives. We demonstrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in all its forms. Our faculty and counselors serve as mentors and also nurture our students, providing the safety and support that allow our students to stretch themselves and become who they are meant to be.

A Campus of Opportunity

A Campus of Opportunity

St. Martin’s 18-acre campus is more than just beautiful, it’s built for exploration, creativity, and purpose. From toddler playgrounds to championship fields, maker spaces to professional theaters. From a fully equipped pottery studio and 500-seat theatre to two gymnasiums, a lighted football field, and an indoor swimming pool, every space invites students to discover what excites them.

With expert teachers, coaches, and mentors guiding the way, students gain access to the tools, experiences, and support they need to grow into confident, well-rounded individuals—ready to shape their own futures.

“To me, what separates St. Martin's from other schools is the sense of values that the school instills as an overarching theme across the learning experience. The mission of St. Martin’s and what it strives to bring to the table outside of the classroom, that was critical to my decision for where I would send my children. I want my kids to have the best opportunity to become the type of individual they want to become, and I know this school emphasizes a strong sense of character, integrity, and values from a very young age.”

ADMISSIONS

A welcome from the Head of St. Martin's Episcopal School!

I am honored to serve as the 10th head of school. St. Martin’s is an extraordinary school where children thrive. From our youngest learners in George Cottage to our Upper School AP Scholars and all those in between, our students are happy and love their school.

Our motto of Faith, Scholarship, and Service can be seen in all aspects of this community. Faith formation is experienced in weekly chapel services, religion classes at all levels, and through service to others. Our accomplished faculty know their students well and inspire them to reach their full potential. Additionally, our extraordinary visual and performing arts programs, the Gibbs Family Center for Innovation + Design, and a comprehensive athletic program that has realized multiple championships, add to our overall program, and development of the whole child.

Our community is strengthened not only by the time we spend together, but in the work we do to serve others. Annual all school events such as St. Martin’s Day are focused on building bonds among the divisions and provides the opportunity to work together in service to others. Such traditions fosters the community spirit you feel the moment you arrive on campus.

At St. Martin’s, students flourish in an environment that promotes kindness, academic curiosity, leadership, and faith. Our students graduate prepared for college and beyond.

I invite you to visit our beautiful 18-acre campus, a true hidden gem in Metairie, and experience the difference a St. Martin’s education can make.

Sincerely,
